Terms of Service
Effective October 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Tekkerwave Technology, doing business as Black Belt Safety (“we”, “us”), for your use of blackbeltsafety.com and its courses, memberships, tools and services (the “Service”). By creating an account, buying anything, or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Accounts
- You must be at least 18, or have a parent, guardian or employer set up and supervise your account.
- Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Accounts are for one person. Do not share logins or certificates. Employers who need training for several people should buy a team plan.
2. Memberships, payments and renewals
- Prices are shown on the Pricing page in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Memberships renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price you signed up for, until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change applies to your renewal.
- You can cancel any time in My Account → Membership & Billing. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds: fees are billed in advance and are not refunded for partially used periods. If you were charged by mistake or forgot to cancel a renewal, email support@blackbeltsafety.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review it. Job posts are non-refundable once published.
- Discount codes have the limits stated when they are offered and cannot be combined unless we say so.
3. What our training is, and what it is not
- Our courses are online awareness and educational training built from public sources such as OSHA, NIOSH and other agencies. They support your safety program. They do not replace the site-specific, hands-on or equipment-specific training and evaluation your employer is required to provide.
- A Black Belt Safety certificate records that you completed a course on a given date. It is not an OSHA card, a government license, or a professional certification, and by itself it does not make anyone a “competent person” or “qualified person.” Under OSHA rules, the employer decides who is competent or qualified for a task.
- Our courses are not part of the OSHA Outreach Training Program. They are not “OSHA 10-hour” or “OSHA 30-hour” courses and do not issue U.S. Department of Labor wallet cards. If your job requires a DOL card, you need an OSHA-authorized Outreach trainer or an OSHA-authorized online Outreach provider.
- Plan prices and contents, pass marks, course lengths, free-course offers, seat pricing and trainer pay splits are stated on the Pricing page, the Teach page, each course page and in your membership, team or trainer agreement. Those pages and agreements control over any summary elsewhere on the site, including the home page and videos.
- Black Belt Safety is an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for OSHA, the U.S. Department of Labor, or any government agency.
- Course content is general information, not legal, engineering or medical advice. Regulations change; always check the current rule and your own site conditions.
4. OSHA data and consultant tools
OSHA inspection and violation data comes from public U.S. Department of Labor sources. We provide it “as is.” It may be incomplete, delayed, or changed by the agency after we copy it, and a citation is not proof that a violation finally occurred. Do not rely on it alone for legal, hiring, lending or insurance decisions. You may use search results and reports for your own business, but you may not resell bulk copies of the data or scrape the Service with automated tools.
5. Live classes, trainers and consultants (the marketplace)
- Independent providers. Trainers and consultants on the Service are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We provide the venue: the listing, checkout, roster, reminders, certificate record and payout. We do not teach, attend, supervise or review their classes.
- Credentials are self-reported. A trainer enters their own credentials. Each is shown as Self-reported unless it is marked Verified, which means only that, on the date shown, an automated check matched the credential to a public digital record published by the issuer (for example a BCSP digital badge). We do not inspect documents, contact issuers or vouch for any credential, Verified or not. Every profile links to the issuer so you can check for yourself; do that before you buy if the credential matters to you.
- No DOL cards from us. If an OSHA-authorized Outreach trainer lists an OSHA 10- or 30-hour class, any Department of Labor card comes from that trainer through their OSHA Training Institute Education Center under OSHA’s rules, not from Black Belt Safety.
- Buying a seat. You pay Black Belt Safety at checkout and we pass the trainer their share. The contract for the class itself is between you and the trainer. The join link appears under My classes two days before the start. If you buy seats for other people, you are responsible for giving us their names and for their conduct.
- Refunds for live classes. Full refund if the trainer cancels or reschedules to a time you cannot attend. Cancel up to 48 hours before the start for a full refund; inside 48 hours a seat is not refundable but can be transferred to a coworker. Refunds go to the original payment method; email support@blackbeltsafety.com with your order number.
- Certificates. A live-class certificate records that the trainer marked you as having completed their class. It is issued in the trainer’s name through our system and shows the trainer’s credential status at the time. It is not an OSHA card, license or professional certification.
- Reports and removal. Use Report this trainer on any profile. We may suspend or remove a trainer, cancel and refund classes, withhold payouts and bar a person from the Service at our discretion, including for a credential we have reason to believe is not genuine. Doing so is not an admission that we checked, or should have checked, anything beforehand.
- Trainer pay. Trainers are paid the shares stated on the Teach page and in the Trainer Agreement; earnings are not guaranteed. Consulting projects and job-board hires are between the people involved; we are not a party to them.
6. Job board
Employers are responsible for their job posts, which must be real, lawful openings that follow equal-opportunity laws. We may edit or remove any post. Job seekers decide what to share with employers. We do not guarantee any hire.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (profiles, job posts, reviews, messages, uploads). You give us permission to host, display and share it as needed to run the Service. Do not post anything false, unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
8. Our content
Courses, quizzes, graphics, text, software and the Black Belt Safety name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your access is active. Do not copy, record, resell, or republish course content, or use it to teach your own paid classes, unless you are an approved Black Belt trainer using it as allowed.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no hacking, overloading, scraping, spam, fraud, harassment, false certificates, impersonation, or attempts to get around payment or access controls. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. Workplace safety depends on many things outside our control; using the Service does not guarantee compliance, prevent injuries, or prevent citations.
11. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims caused by your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
13. Changes and ending the agreement
We may update the Service or these terms. If a change is significant, we will post it on the site or email you before it takes effect. You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or if we stop offering the Service; if we end a paid membership for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused part.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.
